SuperSpeed USB3.0 storage Power By mSSD

Take your Windows with you!

With a 128GB or 256GB BlueEye ThunderDisk, you can run your Window’s anywhere

USB drives have been around for a while, so what's

the big deal with BlueEye ThunderDisk?

Well, it's secret is the mSATA Solid State Disk (SSD)

buried inside the sleek metal shell. By combining the

barely-measurable access time and super-fast transfer

rate of over 400MB/sec of SSDs with SuperSpeed

USB3.0, you end up with a tiny portable drive that's

as fast as any bleeding-edge SSD you'd install in a PC,

for not much more money than a bare SSD itself.

Why does this matter? You can use one to run your own copy of Windows on any recent PC that supports booting from USB2 or USB3. By using the free Win2USB tool, you can install a purchased copy of Windows 7 or 8 to the BlueEye ThunderDisk, and it'll be just as fast as your own PC wherever you go. And of course, it's a regular USB drive too, so you can use it to copy large files, eg movies, at 10x the speed of many cheap thumbdrives. It'll also work with WindowsToGo, using Windows 8.1 Enterprise.

Scenario 1: Let's say you are travelling and need to do confidential work, but you can only use a public PC, one you can't trust, one that's running a foreign-language Windows, or one you

don't wish to leave any history on. Just plug your BlueEye ThunderDisk in to it's USB port, power-on the

PC, pick the USB BlueEye ThunderDisk as the boot drive, and a few seconds later, your own personal Windows will be ready to use. If it's a PC that's never been used with the BlueEye ThunderDisk before, Windows might need a reboot to finish detecting the hardware the first time, but it'll boot up as fast as any regular Windows installed to a SSD after that.

Scenario 2: Your neighbour drops round and asks you to fix his virus- and malware-infested PC again - as the go-to tech guy, how do you fix it when the really-persistent ones hide in the boot block, cover the screen, or disable the browser? Easy - just plug in the BlueEye Thunderdisk, boot your neighbour's PC with your clean Windows, and run malware / anti-virus tools against their disk, which won't have any of the malware / viruses running and able to defend themselves from your fix.

We've tested the BlueEyeThunderDisk on a bunch of PCs up to 4 years old in our office here - Win8.1 found the hardware every time, and was usable within 1 reboot,

with USB3-port-performance indistinguishable from a regular internally-connected SATA SSD.

Even when using Windows loaded from the BlueEyeThunderDisk via older USB2 ports, it's fast and responsive. And, check out it's tiny size, pictured here sandwiched between regular slow 2.5inch and thumb drives - what's not to like?
